How It Works

As with all Logi applications, Logi Report makes the contents of your data sources easy to access and understand on your Web browser. Internet technologies and browser software allow for the mass distribution of rich, interactive report applications. Logi Report brings several Internet technologies together, allowing report developers to quickly deliver data in meaningful ways. The Logi framework consists of:

• An XML-based modeling language
• A runtime server (Logi Report Server)
• An integrated development environment (Logi Studio)

Logi Report Tools separate data handling, report development and presentation. Web reports are developed in report definition files using the Logi modeling language. While it is possible to develop reports with any text editor, the Logi Report Studio offers an integrated development environment with helpful wizards and tools to reduce development time. The Logi Report Server parses the XML constructs at runtime, creating HTML for presentation on your browser.
